The Course of Love Never did Run True...

I miss my early 20’s when “You’re in a band!” was reason enough to like someone. You didn’t have to solve story problems before deciding if it even made sense to date:

Sally has 40k in student loan debt and 10k in credit card debt. Johnny has 70k in student loan debt and 5k in medical bills from a recent biking accident. Sally makes $9.00 an hour and Johnny makes $12.00 (because Johnny’s a guy.) Both work 29.9999 hours a week. If they go down to one car and move into a studio apartment when will Sally and Johnny be out of debt?

Answer: Never, Sally and Johnny will never be out of debt because Johnny’s a useless slacker and when they get divorced they will be dividing debts instead of assets.
